The Auditor General’s Office (AGO) is an office established for the purpose of enabling the Auditor General to discharge his legal mandate. The Auditor General (AG) reports directly to the Parliament, the President and to the Public. As the external auditor of the state, the AG’s main objective is to serve the people of the Republic of Maldives by holding public officials and institutions to account for their use of public resources through the conduct of independent audits of all the offices, departments and institutions operating under the legislative, executive and judicial powers of the State.
