Founded in 2006, The Mitten State (TMS) incorporates the symbols, events, and people that fit into our perspective of Michigan. We believe that Michigan has its own unique story to tell, and a subculture separate from the rest of the country. We're inspired by 1970s and 1980s era graphic design, and the soft vintage qualities of t-shirts from that era.
